Travelling alone for the first time can feel daunting. Yet a surf camp is probably the easiest format for a first solo trip: everything is organised, and you spend your days with a group.
Will I really meet people?
Yes — it's actually hard not to. Around 70% of our guests come alone. Surf sessions, yoga, meals around a big table and rooftop evenings create bonds fast. Many leave with a group of friends… and come back together the next year.
Is it safe?
Taghazout and Tamraght are peaceful villages used to travellers from all over the world. We pick you up at Agadir airport, and the team lives here year-round and knows every guest. Plenty of women travel solo with us.
Dorm or private room?
Most solo travellers pick the dorm: it's the fastest way to get to know people, and the most affordable (from €450 for 6 nights, all included). If you need quiet to sleep well, a single private room keeps the camp vibe with your own space.
I've never surfed — will I be left behind?
No. Groups are formed by real level, with 5 surfers max per coach. You'll be with other beginners on gentle, sandy-bottom waves.
